Associate Pastors, Exit 59 Gas City
Even thought we grew up only a couple of hours from each other in western and northern Michigan, it took Indiana Wesleyan University to bring us together. We are both graduates of IWU (Casper in 2005 with a Business degree and Jess in 2008 with a Christian Ministries degree), and we have been blissfully (most days) married since June of 2008.
We have the privilege and responsibility to serve along side of Chris and Rachael DeMarse as the Associate Pastors of Exit 59 (Gas City). We participate in planning the Sunday morning services, meeting with people, assisting Chris and Rachael, planning church-wide events, as well anything else that may come up! Jess is part of the teaching team and is a regular part of the Sunday morning preaching rotation, and also hosts a small group for women. Casper is more of a 'do-er' so he lends a hand anywhere necessary, bu his real creative genius is put to use as our webmaster/designer/photographer/marketer/branding extroidinaire. We are both passionate about atmosphere and the presentation of things, so we've also loved added cohesiveness and character to various projects for the church.
We are in love with life and each other. Although we are very diverse and at times our differences can be polarizing, God has continued to teach us how to celebrate each others unique gifts and perspectives and learn from them daily. We find that the sum of us is better than it's parts as we pursue living a holistic Christ centered life, and ministering for His Glory.
We are passionate about photography, cooking, making things more beautiful, being Michiganders, home renovations, traveling the world, and most of all our sweet and sassy yellow lab, Charlotte!
